Living and Breathing Rough Cut Nation

July 23, 2009

Ten days in to the Rough Cut Nation install and everything seems to be going well.  Our ever expanding roster of artists are getting on well together, producing some interesting work and bouncing ideas around the gallery.  Besides some mild masking tape disasters and a couple of laptop crashes things couldn’t be better.

Everyone has been putting in that wee bit extra effort to make the show a success.  Long hours and skipped lunches are a daily occurance, with artists Fraser Gray and Martin McGuinness camped out on my sofa several nights a week.  We have been spending most of our waking hours if not producing the work, then talking about it.  The recent delivery of the posters and the positive press coverage has added extra pressure and excitement and each new google search has brought up new websites mentioning the show.

We were all very chuffed with the Beanland films promo and of our first timelapse video which you can see here.  More videos will follow soon so keep checking back.
